Painting Easter Eggs!

Green still looked like green!
Starting to mix the colors....
Just a little on his arm @ this point, not too shabby for a 1st-timer.
"Uh-oh, look at the mess I made."

The Babes

We took our annual trip to see the baby chickens and ducks at the local farm & ranch store. Kailer couldn't get enough of them - I think he even picked out a couple that he wanted!

All The Ears Without The Bunny!

Saturday I took Kailer to the mall and thought that maybe we would go and see the Easter Bunny! It was a nice thought on my part, but somehow I knew it wasn't going to happen. We got to where they had him set up and I asked Kailer if he wanted to go and see the Easter Bunny? He said, "Yes," with a smile on his face, so I asked the girl at the table if we could just go up to him first and 'test the waters?" So we did, we got about 3 feet away when I asked Kailer if he wanted to sit on the Bunny's lap? His reply, a very firm, "no." The girl then came up and asked Kailer if he would like to give the Bunny a Easter Egg? "Yes," said Kailer. He dropped the egg right after she handed it to him and when she gave it back to Kailer, he promptly tossed it in the Bunny's direction and turned around, ready to leave! So this year, there will be no Easter Bunny picture - but at least we got some Ears!

All for $1

There's not much in the world you can get for $1 - in fact, there's very little. Even the "dollar stores" around here are now called "$1.25 stores." But last Saturday, we did find something to do for $1. Kailer and I went to a local nursery, just down the road from us, for their Spring Flower and Garden Show. I wasn't sure how the weather would be, but we bundled up and went for about an hour. It cost us $1 to get in (kids were free) and Kailer got to enjoy painting a flower pot and playing in a bounce house. However, he wasn't really sure what to think of the bouncing and I think he was a bit overwhelmed by the bigger kids. But, all in all, it was okay and something to do OUTSIDE of the house!

Oh, Kailer, don't do it - don't you dare smile! :) Painting the base of the pot.
Wanting, so badly, to go and play in the water - brrrs!!
Sir Kailer's masterpiece!

Toe Jam

A few days ago Dan put the idea of "Toe Jam" (fuzzy between one's toes) in Kailer's head. Ever since, every time we take of his socks he's obsessed with looking and, if necessary, pulling it out --- it's actually quite comical!

Out of Ideas...

I'm desperate for sunshine, less wind and A LOT less of the white stuff! Both Kailer and I are so fed up with spending time indoors. I'm out of ideas of things to do - for both of us! Today, for example, we tried 3 different times to go out, only to have the wind and snow/hail chase us back in within a short amount of time. So because we haven't been doing much out of the ordinary, I thought I'd take a few fun pictures after bath time..... I'm pretty sure he may dislike me for doing this to him someday, but for now, Mama's the Boss (As I frequently remind him AND Dan). Ha, ha!
"Oooh," he says, "lookin' good!"
Little Einstein!

Setting the Budget

Somehow there's always a "little extra" at the end of the month for Kailer's "wants" - I think I've figured out why! :)
