20 weeks!

Today we got the opportunity to see the little person that I've been incubating for the past 20 weeks!  It's actually gone pretty quickly, but we'll see how long it takes for the next 20 weeks to pass.  We made it a family affair and Kailer joined Dan & I for the ultrasound.  He was pretty convinced that the doctor was going to cut open my tummy so he could see the baby. I explained to him that they would use a special camera and he would see the baby on the t.v. - that was enough for him, he was ready to see his sister .... he's just SURE there's a little sister coming his way!
This little person is just as active, if not more, than Kailer was and the technician had to keep "chasing it around" to get the necessary measurements.  Needless to say he/she was also being shy and not allowing much of a view for the gender.  We had asked the technician to not tell use the gender, but handed her an envelope and had her seal the results inside.  She and the radiologist agree on what they 'think' the little ones is, but suggested we "keep receipts" just in case! :)  So sometime within the next week, hopefully, we'll have our answer (we're having a gender reveal party)!
Overall the radiologist said that the baby looks good with nothing that looks, or is measuring, abnormal.  We're anxious parents to find out what we're having - it's hard to have the envelope so close at hand, yet so far away!!

"Yawning" ... apparently we're already boring parents!!

After we left the hospital we went to test drive a couple of cars.  The idea of two car seats is mind-boggling and we already know that it's going to take up a bit of space.  So we thought we'd see what we could find that is a little bigger than what we currently are driving.  So Kailer was getting a little restless (Good Lord, who doesn't in a car dealership?) as we were waiting for our salesman to consult with the manager on a 'deal.'  As Dan and I were sitting in the chairs talking we heard a "snap."  Not really knowing what it was, I kind of looked around and Dan looked down to see Kailer's fingers caught in a mouse trap!  As I pulled him onto my lap, Dan removed the mouse trap AND THEN ... the entire building got a good grasp for the capacity of Kailer's lungs.  Oh goodness, he definitely cleared his lungs on that one!  He cried for awhile, but nothing was broken or even bruised...his feelings were probably hurt more than anything - but nothing that a piece of candy and a ride in the 'race cars' at Lowe's didn't fix!!  As we talk about it now, we can't help but laugh - in hind sight it really was funny!
